Thought that I should put old Buster up here too, as the scrap page above says, we have had him since he was 5 weeks old, that was in May 1999, he's now 12 and still as playful (& sometimes as silly!) as he was as a pup!
The kids love him, I love him, my partner not so much (but that's his problem!)
Buster is a Staffy X, he's very strong and when I take him for a walk, he walks me!
We nearly lost him last year after next doors cat jumped into our yard and Buster grabbed and was trying to...well I'm sure that you guess what he was trying to do (Buster doesn't like cats or possums!).
So my partner went out and separated them & as he did the cat bit Buster on the chest (we didn't realise this at the time, even though we checked him for wounds), near is right armpit and Buster ended up getting the biggest abscess our Vet had ever seen.
So he was operated on and had a stay in the doggie ICU, luckily after 2 nights, he was allowed home with me as his 'vet nurse', which wasn't so bad giving him his antibiotics, but eewww to cleaning and flushing the wounds 5 drainage points every morning and night. After about 6 weeks of being confined to the laundry, during which he had to be toileted on a lead, so he couldn't roll or rub the wound on the house or fence and suffering the indignation of wearing a bucket collar. He was finally allowed back outside, YAY!
Fully recovered now, (he wears his scars well), he often sits out the back staring at next doors cat, who sits on their window sill teasing him, and I'm pretty sure he's thinking...'Just stick your head over the fence, so I can seek my revenge!'
As for my rude neighbours who won't ever answer my knocks at their door, I believe they should have helped pay for Buster's vet bill, as their cat came into my yard. If Buster had of jumped into their yard and hurt one of their animals, I would have been held responsible. But apparently my local council doesn't have equal laws for pet ownership.
Sorry for that, turned into a bit of a rant didn't it?

I’d agree with you, but then we’d both be wrong!
I’m sorry, I’m a little busy. Can I ignore you later?
